The Mercedes Benz dealership with a service center is a combination of therenovation of an existing building and an extension. The original gas heating and cooling with air conditioning units in the showroom was replaced with a flatsystem – floor heating (REHAU) and a RAILFIX ceiling cooling system – withpipes laid above plasterboard.

We designed the service center as a new buildingto be heated and cooled via floor heating on the first floor and the other two floorsusing TABS – by integrating pipes into the reinforced concrete ceiling structure. The project includes seven separate zones with different temperature requirements. The low-temperature paint shop is also supplied by heat pumps.

The source of heating and passive cooling is geothermal wells with a total lengthof 3000 m. The heat pumps in the cascade have a total output of 180 kW (3 x NIBE F1345-60 kW).
